i don't know why i had previously always made the SF/LA track on the 5. this time i took the 101, and was awestruck by nature's bounty in such a short stretch of highway. strawberry (and broccoli and artichoke and lettuce and tomato and garlic) fields forever.

You know, I felt that exact same way when I FINALLY did that drive (well, we just went as far as Carmel) with Ron. I was blown away by the beauty...especially by the color of the Pacific. It was so blue, it almost could pass for Hawaii!
