Sneaky Buy 2008

Every year, whoever is at home in Seattle goes in to Pike Place Market. We draw names, go around haggling and searching for bargains, and then meet up to exchange gifts over cocoa, or as this year panned out...Claim Jumper sweet potatoes. Lauren and I started it off at the very first Starbucks before we went our separate ways. Dad got Lindsay a "Spa Package"--candle, bath salts and soap, Lauren got Dad some kind of African flute, Mom got Lauren two really great lip balms, and I tried to create a yummy salad for mom, with beets, local apples, and a local cranberry walnut goat cheese. Here are some pics for those who wish they were there...

Holy cow, Lauren. We are soooo beautiful. Starbucks should pay us for this picture. Ching Chong.
